Syed Hasnat Ahmed MD, PhD

Medical Oncologist/Hematologist

Dr. Ahmed completed his oncology and hematology fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. He also completed a specialty fellowship in bone marrow transplantation at UCSD in 1999. Prior to this, he trained in internal medicine residency at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He has interest in basic sciences and completed a PhD in immunology and experimental bone marrow transplantation at the University of South Florida, Tampa in 1992. Dr. Ahmed is a graduate of the King Edward Medical University in Pakistan. He currently serves as a voluntary faculty assistant clinical professor of medicine at UCSD. He has been in private practice in El Centro, California since 1999.
